2008 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Swimming Set for April 3-5 at University of Minnesota

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Approximately 150 athletes are expected to compete at the 2008 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Swimming, April 3-5 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
Preliminaries will begin at 9:00 a.m. on all three days, with finals starting at 5:00 p.m. The athletes nominated to the 2008 U.S. Paralympic Team will be announced Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Aquatic Center lobby.
Among the athletes slated to compete are: Jessica Long (Dundalk, Md.), nine-time gold medalist at the 2006 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships and 2006 Sullivan Award winner, Erin Popovich (Ft. Collins, Colo.), eight-time medalist at the 2006 IPC Swimming World Championships and seven-time gold medalist at the 2004 Paralympic Games, and 2004 Paralympic Games gold medalists and world record holders Rudy Garcia-Tolson (Colorado Springs, Colo./Riverside, Calif.) and Jarrett Perry (Colorado Springs, Colo./Wichita, Kan.)
