U.S. Paralympics
The Hartford's Group Benefits Division is a founding partner of the U.S. Paralympics organization, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee that focuses on athletes with physical disabilities. This partnership provides us with new and innovative opportunities to demonstrate our commitment to the disabled community and to create greater awareness about our Ability Philosophy.
In addition to boosting our national profile, this sponsorship provides unlimited opportunities to involve our important business associates and highlight our Ability Philosophy. It offers another way to illustrate to our key brokers and policyholders what differentiates GBD - our unparalleled commitment to help our claimants maintain an active, productive life if they become disabled.
As a founding partner, The Hartford will be the official sponsor of several of the 2007 U.S. Paralympic teams, that will participate in various camps, clinics, competitions and the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China - including track and field, alpine skiing, swimming, wheelchair road racing and cycling teams. Our sponsorship includes several national, regional, and local events, including The Hartford Ski Spectacular. Also, we have access to all 500 Paralympic athletes, who can represent The Hartford at conferences, presentations, events and other speaking engagements.
